Actually. My grandmother wrote the music to Stardust. True story. As a college student in the 1929s, she was reading the back of a magazine where an advertisement promised to publish your music. She sent in her score for violin. She ca l ed it Knocking at my Heart. Hoagie Carmichael asked for 20 dollars to publish it. She had no money. So, as he did with many who answered his ad, he spoke her song. Made millions. Broke my gramna's heart and she never played violin again.
