Unity love and Mr. Smuv E. The show on mental Illness was awesome. It is easier said than done for anyone that does not have finances or health insurance to receive help for mental illnesses. I learned recently that you cant take any one in for treatment that person has to want help and has to go for treatment themselves. And also when some is committed for care which is usually 3 days or court ordered for longer if that person tell the doctor they want to leave the treatment facility they have to discharge them before the observation is complete. That is why you see so many mentally ill people in the community. It is tragic. I saw on the news in san Antonio that two homeless people were arrested for trespassing one was a homeless black woman and the other was a white Male. One needed 30 .00 to be released and the other one needed 50.00. No one paid those bond they both died within days of each other in Bexar county detention. Both Sheriff Salazar and Bexar county judge Nelson Wolff agreed that those two people should not have been in jail because they were mentally ill. So now they are implementing a program for mental health so that instead of putting the mentally ill in jail they will receive help whether they can pay or not. I believe that is a good thing. I have always believed that mental health care should be free.
