It’s just so wonderful! I got the soundtrack and the Broadway recording at the same time and I remember just being amazed at how much grander the beginning is. I love it so much. One of my favorite parts is how John Williams emphasizes the orchestrations in “If I Were a Rich Man.” Like when Topol says “One long staircase just going up” and the violin goes up “and one even longer coming down” and the music goes back down. And when he says his wife will have “a proper double chin” and the tuba plays. The music builds the whole song so flawlessly. Love!!!
