Wonderful podcast - universal simple wisdoms that is impossible to deny
I've read Tolle's books. This is a great help in managing thoughts and feelings.
However is it a pointer to how our psychological past shapes how we are in the present. Also how we are in the present moment will shape our future.
So Eckhart means there is only present moment. Past and future are not real , they are only concepts, you cannot directly experience past or future. When people think they experience past they are experiencing memories in the present moment and experiencing future is just imagination in the present moment. Saying the present moment contains both past and future to me is actually misleading because it implies we have a past and future which in the ultimate truth, is not true.
In the conversation it is said the present has no past or future ... I have also heard that the present has both past and future ... if this can be clarified
Sorry, but why do we need Oprah explaining spiritual awakening when Eckhart is sitting right there? A bridge too far. Couldn't listen to it.

The car commercials contrast in a way that is so jarring that i cannot listen to this. That’s really too bad, because the teachings are valuable. Very disappointed by the choice and placement of ads - and frankly, a waste of money, because i can’t imagine anyone listening to Eckhart Tolle’s teachings being hooked onto buying the latest Chevy truck or whatever.
