Drs prescribing good after bad! Giving one drug to correct or manage damage from another drug. I’m so so angry about all of this!!!!

Does lyrica actually help PN? Doesn’t help me except in overly high doses which cause devastating effects for me

I believe being 5’7” and 135lbs with PN -due to blunt force trauma- Isabel ok weight. I would like to lose more weight but gaining since denied my pain meds. Hurts too much to exercise. What is different about someone who can develop PN and someone who unfortunately got it from injury. Is it treated completely differently?

I was put on opiates first thing after diagnosis in 2005. Fentanyl 100mcg. I asked for lower doses and never once felt an urge to take more drugs. I was healthy, save the PN and living active life. Now facing horrible health problems and Drs trying to get me to take anti seizure drugs and many more along with injections. I had a nerve oblation on rt sacral that caused permanent damage!

What about peripheral neuropathy caused by blunt force trauma? I always had LOW BP & cholesterol. Excellent blood work. When suddenly denied my opiates therapy meds, my CBC results are horrific. It’s all the Tylenol and ibuprofen. My kidneys now have decreased in function! Lyrica causing short term memory loss, suddenly passing out and very impaired vision.

Alpha lipoic acid seems to crush neuropathy...problem for me is that I get a rash from it but it works to minimize it..i take 600 mg a day...break it up to 200 mg 3x a day..
