So Boone benches his hottest hitter. Obviously he thinks he needs a rest. Never does anyone come to the ballpark knowing if they are playing, or “resting”, they don’t know if they are playing in the same position as the day before, and they don’t know where in the batting order they are hitting. The brilliant manager will decide the everyday changes. Obviously baseball is much too demanding for anyone to play more than 4 days in a row. Imagine Jeter playing SS one day, 2nd, next day then rest.
