O.M.G.! Never has anyone articulated how I feel about organized religion better. I pulled away from the church when I realized those around me who called themselves Christians would get angry with me because I challenged the faith and their conduct. When I would see first-hand how these Christians weren’t living up to their own hype, that’s when I left. Today, I’m nor Agnostic than belonging to or believing in any particular religion.

Enjoyed this podcast alot. I learn something from each edition. Case and point: I didn’t know about the Powell memo. I just found it online and downloaded it to read later. If it’s anything like the Rupert Murdock memo that started Fox News, I can just imagine how awful and duplicitous the concepts are in this manuscript of greed. 🤮

Two things irritate me about 3rd-party candidates: 1. They always take votes from the Democrat candidate. The Republican candidate never sees a dip in their voter support whenever a 3rd-party candidate joins the (presidential) race; and, 2. 3rd-party candidates always hide who finance them. Thus, if they aren’t self-financed, you don’t know who’s behind them pulling the strings.

I’ve listened to this episode 3X, and I still can’t believe how thorough your research into the topic has been. I knew alot about how America got to this point where ”The American Taliban” is at our doorstep, but you went deeper into matters I never conceived nor believed were relevant to this Christian-right takeover. Once again, Well Done. 👏

I really enjoyed this podcast w/former RNC Chairman, Michael Steel, providing candid commentary on the state of GOP politics today.

Prince Edward Co, VA shut down their public schools for 5 years. FIVE YEARS! There is an excellent book, https://www.amazon.com/Something-About-Prince-Edward-County/dp/0062268686/ref=asc_df_0062268686/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312154640153&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17200350997811760779&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9008492&hvtargid=pla-568837050882&psc=1

If SCOTUS can use ”ordered liberty - that which must be ‘deeply rooted in this Nation’s history and tradition’” - as the basis for overturning a law or a provision of law, then the Court could overturn any law it wants. Moreover, under such a basis, the Court would not interfere in changes to the Constitution assuming such changes were presented by a conservative Constitutional convention in the near future. WE, THE PEOPLE must be very mindful of this.

What Leah and Ms. Walker says concerning local elections is true. Democrats have focused so much of their polotucal energy on national elections at the detriment of local elections. No better example of their importance can be seen than in TN when county commissions voted to allow Reps. Peason and Jones back into the TN Legislature after their state legislature ousted them. Without a local Democratic majority, thousands Tennesseans would have gone without a voice in the TN legislative chamber.

If it helps, I hit Kevin Sorbo hard on Twitter, too, because like she said it’s so easy.

”When people are scared, they will embrace an authoritarian movement to protect themselves.” No truer example of this can be found than in the YouTube documentary, ”The Brainwashing of My Dad”. The father watched FoxNews and listened to conservative talk radio, specifically, Rush Limbaugh, for years until midway into Obama’s 2nd term. But then his family slowly weaned him off that side of the partisan divide and slowly the man they once knew returned.

The ”projection” was strong on the right for the 2020 election. Trump & Co. pointed the finger at Dominion software, but it seems ES&S machines were the more vulnerable to hacking and vote manipulation.

Voters in KY and SC have been raising the alarm that ES&S voting machines were the most vulnerable compared to Dominian voting machines and would exolain why Sen.’s McConnell and Graham came from way behind in polling to win their elections in 2016. BTW, keep being a nerd, PG. We love your nerdiness. 💗
