Feel Johnnie is holding something back. That picture of Cleo, in the yellow top school picture, is lovely. What a pretty little girl, full of life. As a psychiatric nurse this family has is going through a lot. This episode - the reunion of Johnnie and Christine is nice relief. Good to hear some laughs. Love this podcast, thanks Connie
Connie, you are by far and away, my favorite reporter to listen to. Despite your investigations being compelling, your voice is moving and the listener can just feel how deeply you care. Please keep up this podcast and many thanks!! All my love and best wishes to these girls and their families. How I wish I could do more!
Thanks Connie for this heartbreaking, yet beautiful story of a little Cleo that knew where her true home is at. I have more questions about her adoptive family & how Cleo knew how to use a gun & how her adoptive brother seemed to be angry over a jacket... maybe angry enough to kill? ... just more questions I have but I’m grateful you united this family. ♥️♥️🙏🏻🙏🏻
I have been more emotionally invested in this story than any other podcast. I know it isn't the same, but I spent many childhood years as a foster child separated from my siblings. Different circumstances but so relatable for me. You don't often hear much about how kids struggle with longing for their intact, original families.
Hugs Christine and siblings. What a difficult journey to find truth this was. May Cleo rest in peace.
