Love the show, guys! Audio on live shows is frustrating. Too loud or too soft. We can’t see what you are looking at. Eli (too loud lol) is kind of annoying 😑

Oops couldn’t edit. He told patients never complain about another doctor: basically keep your mouth shut regardless of how traumatized s/he may be because of that other doctor. Gaslighting by MDs is a horrible problem in medicine. Doctors too often fail to diagnose or misdiagnose. And if the patient doesn’t get better, they blame the patient. His advice is wrong: do no harm means listening to your patient thru a trauma-informed perspective.

I enjoy your show overall. But in a recent episode the chap who is a doctor said some things that alarmed me. (I can’t recall the episode). And they alarmed me as an RN. And they alarmed my spouse, a highly respected and regarded practicing MD for nearly 30 years. What alarmed us? He told padon’t tell

The sound you described as a fishcat (weird) in BRITAIN is actually one of the many find its mama fox kicking out from the den her first litter as she’s about to drop another brood. Believe me it’s a heart wrenching listen

I love you guys but man that overprotective stuff sounded pretty misguided and like you aren’t raising kids right now. The research was interesting and useful, your analysis was demeaning and out of touch. As a parent of teens there is so much going on in the world to create fear and anxiety other than just helicopter parenting.

What does a filmmaker have to do with science? That’s so bizarre.

Daddy longlegs are not, but they are poisonous!! Harvestmen will coat or themselves with a stinky chemical mixture when they’re disturbed. It can kill spiders and insects but is generally harmless to humans. They’re pretty fascinating creatures and I have one living in my bathroom lol.

I’m sorry. My city was the very first one to start DST in 1908. Port Arthur, Ontario. We’re now known as Thunder Bay when the cities of Port Arthur and Fort William amalgamated in 1970. I wish we could just leave it on dst year round.

I won’t set the build up but If anyone recalls the episode when Evan simply answered ”penguins”. That was one of the funniest and impromptu moments I have ever heard. The show would not be the same without Evan.

@Yara : Evan has a great sense of humour and is an integral part of the show!

I‘ve been listening to your podcast for a while and I really enjoy it. But I had to comment when someone worked a line from Star Trek VI - unquestionably the worst one -into today‘s episode. I laughed out loud! ”Why does God need a starship” indeed!

I've just listened to the first episode, and I'm not sure I'm going to listen to any more. You guys are so supercilious and condescending towards gullible people. You pretty much imply that they're stupid. They may be ignorant, but usually they're not stupid. By talking that way, you just about guarantee that no one will be persuaded by your arguments.

I just wanted to say that the covid vaccine trial you were talking about. The half dose then full dose was a cockup by the doctors originally

This is amazing makes total sense to test and we should make the technology open source so that every country can make their own therefore keeping the cost low per country plus no dodgy deals

Alex Tsakiris was more interested in criticizing skeptics than critically analyzing the research. Sorry Alex. You didn't fool me.

This podcast is great at training your scientific skepticism. They make it fairly accessible to non science trained individuals as well as those trained in the sciences.

Because evolution is reality. The word "theory" in science is used differently than how a lay person uses it. The theory of evolution is not up for debate, it is a fact, just like the theory of gravity is also a fact.

@lbrainard04 : Why can't both creationism and evolution be taught in schools as theories so children can think and make decisions on their own, as much as they can. Parental influence may hinder children's informed decisions, but school should not.
