I'm a psychiatric nurse and it's very very clear to me that this young lady was having a psychotic episode. Delusional, she should have been given a mental health assessment and if need be, detained for her own safety under a mental health act. The police - shock horror - were absolutely disgustingly negligent. If she was a pretty middle class white women, she would have been looked after.
One more point is it the incompetence of the cops to rule Casey out. The cops do seem to fuck things up A LOT. What is it with the cops in America, you always hear story's ALL THE TIME about how fucking inept, corrupt and fucking useless the cops are in the States.
A man has been arrested re: Rebekahs murder. I'm not looking at the this story to not spoil this podcast however, Casey - the boyfriend - looks really dodgy. I think he is the man who has been arrested. I could be wrong and I will message whether or not I was right or wrong. I'm intrigued but I don't want to spoil the podcast for myself.
Interesting story for sure but the way some of this stuff is described and the way odd but relevant-sounding details get brought up and then not explored is a bit annoying.

Great work! Your cadence and delivery is very good. The background fill is way too loud during the imperfect audio parts and a bit too loud throughout. I do like the choices regarding the fill, but it should be questionable to the listener if there is background except for transitions. All in all.....very good work by your crew!
Audio is very poor volume. Hard to hear in a vehicle.
Great podcast but first season ended way too abruptly. You get a tip that tells you the only person who won't talk to you did it. Motive and opportunity line up. But the coos are biased and won't revisit it so you walk away???? There has got to be more that can be done to forward the case. Can family not sue the police in this case? Seems it was woefully mishandled from the start.
