Could not agree more about EVERYONE singing the Ordinary! Our parish is full of contemplatives tho and I’ve heard some people complaining about the one guy who’s giving it all he’s got alone. He’s not bad either! But people whine that it takes them out of the reverence. I’m like duh that’s what the Propers are for. It isn’t everyone complaining but the stuffy attitude keeps people from bothering to open the hymnal even tho Fr invited us to do so.
