They should have just started to fight the guys as they came into the room. The cleric needed to cast spiritual guardians and trap them in the room to take loads of damage. They stalled and took damage and lost the element of suprise

Stfu Sam/fcg. Killed plenty of people this whole campaign and all the sudden you want to have an attack of conscience? The worst opportunity to do so with a make or break part of the story and you want to sit there and half a$$ some character development. ”bUt ArEnT wE ThE gOoD gUyS?!” ...shallow and contrived.
