and housekeeping alongside the cooking and kids (like most of us have to do it all without paid help of any kind) then I seriously would stand corrected! It’s just awfully cringe when people bemoan their tough lives in spite of having paid help Lol. Visits to countries where women work really really hard with kids plus work plus home management without paid help is such a humbling experience (talking from experience) which many western women would find really life altering and enlightening!!!

If lovely people such as Sophie were to visit working class people’s homes like myself, she would be embarrassed to say she “spins plates” and has a tough time juggling everything (because she doesn’t if the time consuming tasks are delegated to paid help lol). Perhaps it ought to be called “Juggling kids and work only, while the rest is taken care of by paid help” which would be a more accurate title. If however, Sophie et al do by some miracle all their own housework, gardening, DIY,

I have not yet listened to this podcast because I assume from the outset that Sophie and Fearne can afford to pay for either housekeepers/cleaners/gardeners/odd job men to do those kinds of time consuming chores that most people have to do themselves WHILST also cooking and raising multiple children on low incomes. I’m honestly not being rude or suffering from sour grapes (honest!) and have love and respect to all fellow mothers out there because I’m sure motherhood is tough even when

I'm really enjoying this podcast. I have appreciated the range of fascinating women with a variety of different experiences both in work and motherhood. Well done Sophie, your enquiring mind and gentle approach makes for a wonderful podcast.

I really wanted to love this....but it actually lowered my mood....hearing two successful parents tell us how much they love their work so it doesn't feel like work is so removed from most people spinning plates....you love cooking...your kids love art....come on....I'll give one more a go!
