Paul was a Pharisee. They were known for enforcing their own purity and holiness codes and Jesus fought against them in everything. I respectfully disagree that a person who was born LGBT identified--and just as much in God's image as you or me--is not going to be with God. It's a nice thing to be comfortable enough in your own mess to sit back and judge who is in and who is out, isn't it? We should be making disciples, not continuing to argue over this. Because our judgment of it doesn't matter one iota. You can look to Jesus on that. Using the bible as proof text is why so many people refuse to be Christians and frankly I'm done putting up with the judgment of so-called biblical people. "Let him without sin cast the first stone." But that's far too easy, isn't it? And it's more fun to make others into something bad so you can be "in". Using the bible in bits and pieces results in lack of understanding of the message of Christ.
Have you forgotten the verse where Jesus says that if you think it in your mind you have already done it? If you have committed adultery in your head you have done it?
great message!
