I still don't think I'd be comfortable using the term shaman or it's derivatives for myself, but I really appreciate the nuance of this discussion. I've been telling folks to use mugwort forever now. y'all just ask yourself why it Has to be white sage, it's exoticism, there's plenty of smoke cleansing plants in European cultures.
