Another excellent episode of NB. Cheryl Klein's audio presence is just as warm, generous and giving as in her book The Magic Words. If there's such a thing as a great editorial voice (in the literary sense of the term), she sure has it. Everything she says is useful and the way she's able to say it is sparkly and bright. Please have her on as often as possible. Thanks. Rock on.
Really enjoyed this podcast. The inside edge on middle grade writing and editing was so useful. And both the host and guest were awesome. Friendly, lucid, heartfelt and insightful. Happen to be reading Cheryl Klein's excellent The Magic Words which is probably the best book about writing children's literature and came across this delightful podcast. A must-listen for anyone interested in children's books, writing, editing, and publishing.
