One of THE WORST episodes! One of friends used to change the incantation to "Call the lawyer.."
On Conscience of the King you mention luddites -- there are several I know of -- Way to Eden with the Space Hippies, Paradise from DS9, Let He Who is Without Sin there is a movement for more traditional values from DS9 and in Disco, New Eden where a crew member is said to have grown up as a luddite.
I always say those jackets with numbers are damage control team members.
