There has been documented instances, and if we are using a greater sense of understanding of the adversarial relationship towards minorities and people living in disenfranchised circumstances and areas with some authorities in law enforcement, undocumented, that the very idea of victim blame is wrong. I do believe that if rules, regulations and procedures are given to have more pos. result, than it should be taken, but if you have ever experienced or been close to the actual experience of discrimination, the fear anxiety and anger of unprovoked confrontations parralel the provoked ones. The responsibility has to lie with the one who should be educated on their conduct as an authority. I cannot excuse a person who commits a crime, so we cannot excuse a crime of someone with a badge. The cries for change have more do with this than the newsworthy issues that confuse the issue. A docile person cannot change a person with an intent that is looking for ANY excuse to arrest, brutalise or kill. It is a sad existence for all involved but it is a very real and painful one for black people. We cannot heal as we are being salted, it's just not possible. Good episode.

And btw, yes I know some have allegedly been shot while they were not fighting arrest. One was shot in the back while running away. Well don't run away. What good is that going to do anyway? But that's beside the point. Yes I realize some of those situations were unavoidable.

@stinkysdaddy : To be fair to the guy interviewed who was talking about Black Lives Matter and said if people would shut up and do what the cop says they would be alive, you're painting him as a racist anyway despite his other comments and that's not really fair. He never said black people should shut up or die. What he's saying is that if a guy has a gun pointed at you, right or wrong, do what he says or he will shoot you. It's that simple. What difference does it make in that moment if the cop is justified. Just do what he says and you'll live to question it later. People are afraid of urban young black men. Cops are going to be trigger happy. You can't fight to change that attitude if you're dead because you'd rather argue with the guy who's pointing a gun at you.
