Fannie Farmer‘s story is so inspiring and I didn‘t even know she was a real person. She is a great example of triumph over adversity and changing the world for the better in the process. Thank you, girls for your podcast its obviously you do a lot of research and as a listener, I am grateful.

It was never Charles VII who was victorious. Joan’s work was completed by the Bretons, especially Arthur de Richemont, Constable of France, who wasn’t allowed to attend Charles’ coronation, even though it was standard protocol and Joan of Arc specifically asked for him to be invited. Charles was in every way an undeserving and ungrateful king. To save France, Arthur eventually had to seize power in a bloodless palace coup, reform royal finances, retrain the entire army & create the Ordonnances.
