Sure Afflecks Batman and Black Lightning are the same. After all everyone knows there are nearly four decades of comics with a retired Batman, his children succeeding him and their rise as heroes. Wait, that's Black Lightnings backstory, Ben Afflecks Batman works alone and his only Robin was apparently killed.
Not to mention Batman being one of DC's big three who have constantly defined their brand, whether in comics, in cartoon or on film. An old Black Lightning fits pretty much anywhere after the 1980's. An old Batman is either an older DC world or dystopian fucked up one ala The Dark Knight Returns.
