Listening from Boston and while tempted to swell with WASPy pride, I ultimately found the self-righteousness and schadenfreude in this episode cringeworthy. I encourage the team to listen to this one again.

I’ve seen the Chisen Jesus passed around so much, like it’s Jesus . I know of artists using it as well. I’m just thinking, ya know that’s NOT what he looked like, right? As an artist myself, I avoid making images. I don’t know how it would be used or understood. I’m hesitant of crises even, as so many wear them, using as idols. I avoid the Chosen because of how Jesus is portrayed theology-wise. If millions of LDS love it, then the core of who He is and was killed for must be being left out.

Your views about the police are naive. Most Black families HAVE to start early teaching their children, and especially their boys, to avoid police to keep from being killed. This is not a problem of “a few bad apples” but of inherent racist practices in law enforcement systems across the country.

The question needs to be asked of anyone declaring themselves pro-life, how do you feel about the black lives matter movement and white privilege? If they are against BLM and don‘t believe that people of color are disenfranchised they are really pro-birth.
