I lived near strokestown and did some research on this family. They were absolutely terrible people.
Good on ya
When I was a cultural anthropology major, science was coming to a greater understanding of epigenetics, whereby the real experiences of a speciesโ lives become embedded in the genetic code - hence why hippos (oddly enough) are the most dangerous animals for humans as they were so preyed upon for so long by us, theyโre likely to attack us on site, and can run fast

Really enjoy the show. Great work as always.
Delighted to hear this story being told so well. Molly was my great-grandaunt. Well done.
Fascinating. Really enjoyed this. I would like to find out more about Kelly's Irish Brigade CSA out of Missouri.
Thank you. This was a nice change. Archeologists have done DNA samples from the bronze age in Ireland and matched some to me. so this episode really grabbed my attention
I've got to say, I absolutely love this podcast, but this latest episode has been an absolute waste of my time and yours! Who wants to listen to a random drive to an absolute random graveyard where you are completely Ill prepared to to comment on and a random 5000 year old burial site that you know very little about. Next time, just have a break and don't waste your listeners time with an absolutely pointless episode just to earn money on advertising.
Love learning about my Motherland! Keep on going - Very listenable... Friends know when I have tuned in because I pick up the Irish accent! ๐ค
A captivating narration (what enthusiasm!) balances the Norse raiders in all their technological maritime advance and total lack of concern of the attackers on the sacred way of life of the English and Irish monasteries they sacked. Well balanced, historically accurate and engagingly narrated, this episode is simply excellent.
I remember a picture book read to me by my mom as a kid about St. Patrick. Itโs fascinating to hear about his life in more historical terms! Thanks for your hard work!
Great way to look at the revolutionary period. I read History as an undergraduate but in my family it was Ernie OโMally et al who gave me into the period 1912 to 1924....I enjoy this podcast
