Well after Mike tried to tell me on FB that Hackmaster wasn’t the start of the OSR movement this podcast serves as a wonderful apology. Thank you all. ;)

Actually speaking as a Dallasite , i agree with the church on every corner. Disagree No particular number of storm/ tornado shelters. And there is enough Jews in Dallas to have the religious support organization so I had many Jewish friends growing up in Dallas (which is where the East ends and Ft. Worth is where the west begins. )

Hong Kong Phooey is pretty much not notable compared to the rest of the Hanna Barbera Universe... He isn't a talking dune buggy for instance or a walking air breathing talking Octopus.

Steven S. Long was behind Dark Champions and 5e/6e he's a real good guy. Another option for sidekicks is to have a shared background wherein one player plays Batman and the other plays Robin if the GM isn't willing to allow DNPC's to be useful. Perhaps most when the activation roll doesn't indicate the sidekick is in danger.

I would like to point out that Howard Pyles The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood: Robin, Little John and Will Scarlett self identify and are identified as Yeomen, Robin also has at least "...fivescore or more good stout yeomen gathered about...". They _never_ identify as Rangers.

I wonder if he has ever read or heard about Mercedes Lackey and her 500 Kingdoms. This sounds like a good system for that universe.

This could be a fun alternate world for V&V fans. With a lot of work perhaps, but it would be a la or of love.
