Because the money was achieved through illegal means the government took it. It's not included in the restitution. This man has to get out of jail and come up with 17 million dollars. Everything purchased with the illegal money was probably seized as well.
I love this podcast so much. Adding a cohost was a great decision and I find myself cracking up at work. 😂 I really love the amount of effort you put into making sure the victims are remembered and their families are respected. it's too easy for true crime podcasts to push them to the side.
