What the?? The rat screaming in agony in the end. Why thewould you add it. Where would you even get that audio, who would be actually recording this? I hope that sound was synthesized. This is not frightening, it’s painful and RAGING. I hope I can forget it. This is not okay.

I just wanna say that the podcast Malevolent is just as good, just as deep, and just as emotional on a second trip through. The acting, (apart from the northeastern ”sor-y” and occasional other twangs that sneak in aside) is seamless and brilliant. The very down to earth relationship between the two main characters and their struggle to survive shines clear through their un-, super-, and other- natural settings. The concept is BRILLIANT. This and the King episode are the heaviest ones emotionally speaking so far. Also, Arthur just snapped out of this suicidal state, I really don’t want to see his reaction to the fact Arkham isn’t going to accept him with open arms :( as far as I assume, he’s still the main suspect of a murder in there.

To not be too mean to the sound designers, monster sounds in the series are genuinely really great for the most part. There were moments I was genuinely unnerved and that’s something very rare for me in audio/video media like that
