Also, read about the places you go before you go. Hawaiian culture is fascinating, and would have helped.

Ok, you need to experience Hawaii with LOCAL PEOPLE. Honestly, you missed a of alot on Maui. And Rhett, not going to even entertain the Big Island being boring- there are rainforests, lava tubes, pasture, and Mauna Kea. You both need to go back, and allow locals to assist. Trust me when I say local Hawaii is waaaaaay better than haole Hawaii.

Feels dismissive

@kobal : I'd say don't be sad for them because they have found a happiness within themselves and their lives, especially if their faith was making them stuffer it would be better for them to explore their faith in a more detached way. Of course their journey may bring them back to Jesus and as long as it does so in a healthy and happy way I will be Happy for them regardless, but to see this as sad when Link is expressing happiness and comfort in this shift, and Rhett had done so in the previous episode

@AmyS : This is so sad. I pray you both come back to Jesus and not be dissuaded by the world around you.

These episodes about the lost years are my first introduction to your podcast. My daughter knows all about you guys from You-tube, but she didn't know your deconstruction story. I heard about your story from The Recovering Evangelicals podcast.

I enjoying the podcast, these episodes are great for camaraderie in my own deconstruction. Thx
