I don’t have issues. I’d suggest deleting the episode and trying again. Failing that, it’s available on YouTube and other podcast platforms.

The first time I read the book, it did resonate with me, just like with Matt. This second time, I’m trying to pay more attention to the details so I ’m enjoying it a little less, and things aren’t surprising anymore, and yet it still has that amazing feeling

I have loved C S Lewis all my thinking life and have read him over and over. But you guys thoughtfully illuminate and highlight his thoughts in such a way that I am obliged to go over what I’ve read before with new eyes. Thank you for your podcast. Laurie - Australia

I’m really looking forward to this season. I read the book in November/December last year and already loved it. I’m very excited to read it again along with the podcast. And I’m so happy to hear the hosts’ voices again

Orual says that the gods takes the good people. She takes the son from his mother. I was also thinking of Jesus saying He has Come to divide. But also what Ardit (Bardias wife) Just accused Orual for taking her son away from her

Some corrections to your most recent podcast: first, Henley, not Kipling, wrote ”Invictus”. Second, it was General William Booth who told Kipling that he would stand on his head and bang a tambourine if it would bring a soul to Christ. Perhaps you’re thinking of Kipling ’s poem Recessional as an example of his piety. Dave Philips.

It’s from his essay “Sometimes fairy stories may say best what’s to be said.”

@MQ 12 : The lone about stories getting ideas past the watchful dragons of our prejudice.....is that your creation or Kewis'? If it belongs to Lewis, do you know where? Thank you for this most enjoyable audiobiography. So many biographies are written in a manner that are dull. You bring his complex personality to life.

I first started listening to Pints with Jack when Matt and David we're at the beginning of The Great Divorce, the second book they we're covering. I decided to start at the beginning of book one Mere Christianity, and catch up when I could. It quickly became a priority for me and started bingeing my way through. I caught up in the middle of The Great Divorce and loved all of it. My only complaint is now I have to wait a whole week for the next episode. 😉 Thanks for your guys effort and passion with this, it has added a lot of depth to my understanding of Jack's work and getting me in to others that I hadn't read like "Till We Have Faces." Here's to many more! Cheers!
