Police departments are as likely to contain people who will or would or have done the exact same things as any other group of people you randomly select from The General population. The badge the oath neither of these things will change that. We allow them to have additional power and privilege and it is too often unearned. But most are decent because most people are decent. Yet given the choice they will most likely choose to protect themselves over any other given person. This is human, right?

I hear the policeman say no he has ”never heard of anybody shooting themselves in the stomach.” I have news, my father-in-law committed suicide by shooting himself in the stomach first and then in the head. My mama told me ”never say never!”

He just flat out wasn’t going to investigate something where the only suspects were police.

Putting on a badge does not make a person more decent or honest or less likely to commit any crime that exists. Police departments are filled with people from The General population. Therefore some cops are also rapists and murderers and child molesters and money launderers and thieves and generally dishonest at the same rate as the rest of the population. This is undeniable and maybe unavoidable. The problem is they don’t want a police themselves. It’s better than it once was. Let’s do better.

Somebody who is this arrogant is nobody you want investigating the murder of someone you care about. This is someone who doesn’t think they can learn anything new. This is someone who is absolute about things and sticks with that belief no matter what. This is not a compliment. He may have been made this way by being overworked in a very serious field. But it’s a pretty good likelihood that he is not the greatest detective ever nor did he work on the greatest police force ever!

I didn’t hear any statistics quoted. All I heard was a woman who worked in that field and didn’t have any recollection of any instances of suicide after abortion. I’m sure it has happened. People commit suicide based on many choices that they make in life.

Wait, but,... badge equals good person, right?!

Sandy literally said in her note - her last known words - that she was grieving the loss of the child that she aborted - and Melissa goes on to quote statistics about how abortions don’t affect the mental well being of women ? And we’re just going to ignore what Sandy said because it doesn’t fit the narrative. I’m not saying that I think she died by suicide, but what she said in her note wasn’t even dicsussed.
