As a life time fan of Narnia, I don't remember a time when I didn't know these precious stories. So I can't really identify with those who have no knowledge, or only pop culture knowledge of the books. While I would definitely side with publication order because of the teasers and story building, there is something that satisfies my OCD mind with chronological order. And speaking from much reading experience, when reading a book for the first time, I will remember the over all story but not all those little spoilers and teasers. That comes with rereading and study. I really feel that this argument is moot on those grounds.
