Even though he’s still weak especially at lower levels I have found a simple get effective means to combat that feeling of weakness and lack of utility in the group if you allow the thief to apply his skills anyone within his movement rate in the party so say for example they’re all climbing up the wall thief is helping everybody find the wall they then would use their check abilities like a saving throw

if for example the fighter failed their ability check to climb the wall and was near the thief then they could have feet roll the check in order to save the fighter of the following damage from failing to climb the wall this would make a computer far more popular also kind of moving trucks we’re in the lightning quick character saves another.

Speaking of eating how you want. There is a great mini chain here called Ipie gourmet personal pizzas. If your wife ordered a supreme and you are a meat lover bam! Everybody can be happy. Gluten free, etc so if you come down to Colorado check it out.

Being a podbeaner I had no idea about these polls. Share them on Mastodon and I’ll take a look.

Uhm.... THAC0 is actually in the 1EAD&D DMG. Look at the chart for the monsters pg. 195 has it on the top of the page all the way through to 215ish. So it wasn’t a big deal but it is in there.

I think 5 should be soft. Because you should telegraph to and read your players while keeping it fresh.

I think you are missing a huge leap and missing the contribution by Jolly and Kenzer Co. Their parody was a successful proof of concept and proved that WOTC could lose a legal battle which was not happening for decades prior with TSR.

So you can see how sledding right into Castles and Crusades does a huge disservice to the real bridge between modern games and what became the OSR.
