Id add a step or 2 between stages 3 and 4. From debt freedom to your investment income covering your basic needs is years of work for most. Step 4 should be FU money, basically a years worth of income at your disposal. Step 5 should be where your investment income produces 5 figures, step 6 should be your step 4.

Joshua, thank you for taking the professional risk that you referenced with regards to your COVID-19 content! I’ve found it to be helpful, and I’m sure others have as well. Even if we manage to flatten the curve without disastrous longer-term economic consequences, your commentary does a great service by helping listeners realize how delicate our systems truly are.

I have listened to this podcast more than a dozen times. I am taking the authors advice about making myself so dissatisfied with my current job That I am laser focused to becoming financially independent that my goal date is June 1 st 2019!! Working on my roadmap now!!!!
