Surveillance state was really naive. you used big numbers when talking about companies making record profits off our hardship. A little news for you. Kind of economics 101 material. Monetary growth is measured by percentage. The number doesn’t actually matter. During a time when inflation is a couple percent a quarter or more, the profits you mentioned increase less than two percent. That means company’s are making more money but comparatively less than previous quarters. Simple stuff.
Lots of irony in this one. Across the ocean they say balance with regard to assimilation. Here in the states they defend the democratic perspective which isn’t about balance. I enjoy learning the perspectives they offer but it doesn’t take much attention to see the hypocrisy at times. I think this is what happens when anyone aligns with a singular perspective like democrat or republican. We have to create narratives that defend what we think we know(confirmation bias). I hope they can see it.

I hope the students that thru mice at the encampments and that spit on students protesting non violently were also kicked out. My guess is that it’s highly unlikely. Some really ugly and disgusting things were done this weekend but it wasn’t by the students protesting.
