Can you address where the line should be drawn for when to leave an LCMS church? Is it having female lecters and the pastor being loose on communion?

I wish more pastors shared your opinion on women reading Scripture and doing other things they shouldn’t be doing in the Divine Service and in the church.

Is there a Tyrell Bramwell in SC? These LCMS churches around here are letting women take over.

Our LCMS keeps inserting women into more and more things. Last night at Advent Vespers, the Pastor said we have a guest reading the prayers of intercession, and a woman from our congregation walked up and did them. Where do I draw the line? When is it necessary to leave?

You repeat the first segment.

Was this a mistake? It is not the right episode.

For some reason, the Baptist churches that do recognize the Law/Gospel distinction are also very much against the patriarchy.

What are we to do when women do read the Scriptures and serve as leaders in our church?

Not all widows are elderly. Widows with children at home are forced to work. Our churches are not providing for us.

She makes no mention of her husband. He is the head of the household. Is he having these concerns? She can rest in his decision on this. We left our former church when I became a Lutheran. It was filled with children, but my children were lost in the crowd. Now we attend a church with few children, but my children are valued so much more. They have sung in the choir, done hand chimes, sung solos, sung with our pastor at Advent Vespers, etc. They love our church.

But what are we in the LCMS to do since women do teach our Bible studies?

Why does the LCMS allow women to be President of their congregations? The only way to ”force” a man to step up to the base is to stop stealing the bat.

Cross Defense has been a gem in my treasure box of Podcasts. I've gleaned so many good things from the various pastors you've shared the mic with, that I can't point to just one episode. I'll miss listening. Thank you and God be with you, Pastor Bramwell.
