Only just now seeing this comment. I am totally with you. While I love travelling and seeing the birds from far away, these little moments with our local birds are truly memorable. I will never tire of seeing my garden birds foraging, interacting, or singing to mark their territories.

Dusty. Do you mean that now that you’ve seen all the birds there are to see in the U.K., you’ve stopped looking? Just today I saw the most beautiful Robin perched on a low branch singing her heart out. The setting sun lite her perfectly. She took my breath away. I hope I’ll always be open to the beauty of our everyday birds.
