Only just now seeing this comment. I am totally with you. While I love travelling and seeing the birds from far away, these little moments with our local birds are truly memorable. I will never tire of seeing my garden birds foraging, interacting, or singing to mark their territories.

@pkkxgr : Dusty. Do you mean that now that you’ve seen all the birds there are to see in the U.K., you’ve stopped looking? Just today I saw the most beautiful Robin perched on a low branch singing her heart out. The setting sun lite her perfectly. She took my breath away. I hope I’ll always be open to the beauty of our everyday birds.
