He doesn’t say much does he? 😂
I love Suzi’s accent. She could be Bowie’s sister 😁
My mates’ band played the White Horse in High Wycombe. It was indeed quite grim and barely half full that night with a bunch of friends from Leighton Buzzard. Happy days?
Really excellent - look forward to reading the book. Rock’n’roll will never die, and neither will some of the Teds up the road from me.
That should’ve been great but was ruined by the painful inarticulacy and lack of insight of Kevin the Scouser, 65 going on 22 and probably still got that Fringe.
On vinyl, but no record player, my wife recalls an excited young man inviting himself to her room during the first week of university and sitting for hours nodding along to the LPs he had brought along to play on her turntable. He barely said a word. I didn’t have a CD player when I first started the tentative switch from vinyl. I used to get my mate John to put them on a C60 for me. The interesting bit was seeing what he would add to the end to fill up the leftover tape.
Two tired old farts being tired old farts. I got to about 20 mins before knocking it on the head
The sections on Simon and Garfunkel and The Band 👌
Don’t know about No Woman No Cry being influenced by Let it Be but Between the Wars by Billy Bragg using a very similar descending scale at one point. I remember being at one of Bragg’s gigs where he explained one songwriting technique he used was to play someone’s song and devise his own melody over the top. Is that plagiarism? I don’t know.
Excellent as youge!

It‘s important to end every sentence with a question, isn‘t it? It gets annoying after a while, doesn‘t it?
Love the podcast ... I do however buy RS (Billy Eilish, before you ask ;-) ) ... Loved Word ...
That was painful - at least Joe Biden long since stopped whacking himself with that tea-tray when he does ’Mule Train’.
