I think you didn’t properly understand this episode. The whole point of the episode is that Adira did not have access to Tal’s memories. She barely had access to her own memories prior to a year ago.

The Trill reaction to Adira had nothing to do with commentary on acceptance of trans people. The joining with Adira was deemed an abomination and aberration because Adira was basically a parasite carrying around a comatose or effectively brain-dead symbiont.

The Trill said there was no SUCCESSFUL joining with another species. Riker’s joining with Odan was not successful.

Great job once again Phantasticgeek. You say this is the one that is most from the heart it's also the absolute best show you cover. Thanks for you great insight into an excellent show.

Here kitty kitty! Love your show and the new Star Trek show is very dark. I concur the new Klingons are radical and uniforms are distracting. But like the show.

Petty cool you looking at old TOS shows! Do not remember the TAS but the Slaver show is he only one I remember. What about a few Enterprise episodes. One of you guys sounds like the guy on NPR!!!! Podcast long and Prosper!
