...the school did not call the police, I did, the police did very little despite the officer who took the statement reporting the incident as a hate crime, the school made very little provision to reassure my sons safety going forward and they even made him continue in the same classes as the child who repeatedly punched my son in the back of the head while other children filmed and called him an Autistic p***k.

Where do they set the parameters for what is right and wrong? A 14 year old Autistic boy, whilst not excusing his behaviour has a condition which means he lacks social understanding, mis-genders another pupil and the school alert the police and he is threatened with severe consequences. My son who is a SEN pupil awaiting assessment for autism was the victim in our story. Experiencing malicious communications (cyber bullying) which resulted in him being physically assaulted by said pupils...

Thanks Claire for presenting so well your rich knowledge on pathology and ID in ref to C19. I wish there were more voices like yours in order to create a healthy and democratic debate around this. Dr D Martinez
