What a great episode! As you were discussing the different ways the song could be construed, it reminded me of Johnny Cash’s, Goodbye Little Darlin’. Most people think of it as a song about a woman who left her man, but it wasn’t until I lost the love of my life to cancer that the song came to me in a completely different perspective. Although cash’s tune might not be the saddest, it certainly belongs in the same mention as he stopped loving her today.
