That was wrong what American did, but STOP always playing the victim.
And when Kap offers his help? ”We got this” is all we hear.
Why has no one else with Kap’s skill or reputation come forward? A Brady or a Manning wouldn’t need to write a letter; their calls would go straight through. Such names would lend so much support to growing new talent and inspiring confidence.
I look at Kap’s letter and I think ”Here’s a former player who recognizes a team’s catastrophic loss and wants to help rebuild it for free.”
Except that those Super Bowl legends have as much free time as Kap and have more money than God...and they didn’t volunteer to help out a team that could use it.
Kap knows the likelihood of the Jets calling on him are just as infinitesimal as a Manning or a Brady stepping up to help.
Sure, what if the Jets did take Kap on for a week or two or even the season? And what if they did make it to the Super Bowl?
How many Jets fans and sports writers wish Tom Brady or a Manning would help the Jets train up their offense? They’d cost heaps if the Jets could even get them on board.
Kap’s letter seems to show he’s still game-ready as ever. He knows the Jets have a colossal task to regain any advantage resembling an MVP QB.
I get a vibe from this letter that Kap decided to let his friend share his suggestion for the Jets because he wants receipts this time.
OK, I don’t know if that’s what Kap knows. All I do know is that he was hesitant when J Cole was tryna convince him to allow his letter to go public.
Kap knew supporters and haters would read his letter and take it as a sad cry for help at best and uppity interference in Jets’ management at worst.
Kap knew haters and supporters alike would look at his letter and see it as a cry for help. best a shunned player wishing to be part
J Cole just called up every sports show to say ”The Jets gonna need all the help they can get and then some. My boy Kap isn’t busy: why not bring him in for a bit?”
How often does a fan or media worker personally know the person they’re recommending to help with a better season?
How often do fans or sports media workers name specific people in their ideas for improving a player or team?
Every sports talk forum, whether live or online, thrives on suggestions about how a team or athlete can improve for next time after a crappy game or suspension or... injury.
I expect everyone in sports media knows what Kap is laying out in his letter. And Kap has to know the Jets don’t need him to rebuild their offensive strategy.
TBTH this letter seems too formal for a suggestion. Yeah, Kap calls it an offer, but he’s not selling himself.
Yooo,idk,now I do
