Thank you Dan, for giving us the opportunity to listen to the wonderful relationship you have with your Dad. I’ve grown up watching your Father on the telly. It would be lovely to hear more stories. ..and yes, a top tip about getting up early. I think that every morning I milk the cows. 😄👍

It would be even better if you can narrate the story of English pirates incursion from the Spanish point of view. There is a podcast about Bsttle of Cartagena de Indias and how it was brilliantly defended by the Spanish, including all the intrigue behind the scenes.

This guest is knowledgeable, but incredibly long winded. This was more a straight lecture by the guest than a conversational exchange of ideas with the host. I had to stop listening as his extreme lack of awareness was infuriating!

That’s not to mention the fact that the elections were rigged. Gerrymandering wasn’t invented in the 6 counties, but has become synonymous with that place.

You cannot talk about the War in the north of Ireland by ignoring Bloody Sunday, when PEACEFUL PROTESTORS were SHOT in the street. That’s where peaceful protesters got Irishmen and irishwomen in the six counties. This is dismissed in the Documentary as ”there were moments when [the British military] went beyond its remit. Sorry Dan I like this podcast, and I do think English historians are capable of covering the war fairly, but it just got unlistenable after that part of the episode.
