Lol, I actually like invisibility as a super power for the simple reason of being able to scape dangerous situations caused by bad, unstable, or violent people without much or any violence.

Or at least thats how I heard the story be told and how I interpreted it.

Not to say she didnt suffer with her people and perhaps with Cortez, but la Malinche is usually not described as a victimized female, but as an intelligent, capable, strong woman whose decisions shaped the history of a Continent, for better or worse.

La malinche’s people had lost to the Aztecs and she wanted revenge against the Aztecs. So she decided to assist Cortez win against her enemies.

Need to relisten to this and also find the book. Lot to absorb and rethink about. Good first ep to land on.

Lol! You guys mentioned the piza place on episode 20. I alternate between old and new episodes and I had just heard that episode before this one. Enjoy switching between old mythology episodes and now the urban stories. Started hearing this podcast this year.
