Ignore "incentives people to short btc" because it only allows people to speculate future price. It does nothing to actually help the price of crypto 😑

You made mistake in CME cash settled futures example...if investor goes long at $7,000 and price is goes to $7,600, the buyer would pay $7k for an asset that is work $7,600. He can than sell that asset (in this case crypto) and realize the $600 profit. This is why CME decision worries me. By being cash settled, it only incentives people to short BTC
