AA absolutely does deal with trauma. This is misleading and dangerous. Stick to reporting on dry Alcoholics that hurt others because they’ve allowed their Alcoholism to creep back in. Not all active alkies are drinking. Some of them abuse others.

Why bring race up when talking about AA? It saved my life and its saved millions of women’s lives in the last almost century. As far as not dealing with trauma? The entire premise of steps 4-7 are all about dealing with trauma. I absolutely disagree with this assessment of AA.
