Joey is an outstanding writer. But he doesn’t really add much in the podcasts. I’m sure he’s still finding his way, though.

Poor performance all the way around. Refs miss a call, Underwood needed to bench Curbelo or at least call a timeout. The Team didn‘t play well, Curbelo‘s worst as an Illini. But Brad had a bad night similar to the Tournament. He needs to look at his coaching 1st and foremost!
The 2nd off week couldn‘t come at a better time. Prepare for the final 2 regular season games... and be able to hit the recruiting trail with 2 road wins over top 20 teams! ILL
Bottom line they did not establish the run, control either side of the line of scrimmage. Then they didn't get the TE involved early enough. Ultimately the defense was not good and the offense was not consistent!

The NCAA and the polls recognize the Illini are equal to over even better than Michigan with the current rankings and position they will be placed in the NCAA tournament. It's a shame the conference they belong to and a great contributing member of won't!

I have a hard time hearing Joey. It sounds like he is inside a bag. Is his mic inferior?
