I don’t understand why we have the death penalty, if they’re just gonna suck up tax money for 40-50 years. Ridiculous.

I appreciate this podcast and very glad I came across it.

Excellently told !!! I will say it because I must. Susan as far as I am concerned desperately needed therapy and not from her beloved Mormon church. I have seen up close. how the Mormon religion reduces women to silent slaves to their husbands. Josh was disgusting but the Mormon religion is appaulling in regards how women are treated, She is thinking of having another child while discussing tthere is a real possibility of Josh murdering her !!! Still stay married ? My head spins.

I just saw your interview with Nate Eaton East Idaho News and was excited to hear about your podcast. I am interested in True Crime and have read a lot about the Susan Powell case. Thank you for putting in the grueling work to cover this and other cases. Looking forward to listening to all of them.

You're projecting your own shallowness

@gargoylesdrool : Total BS. Shallow facts used to over dramatize serious situations. Where are the serious facts.

Heartbreaking that someone could do this

You seem like one of those people who listen to true crime for tips on disposing of bodies

@pjnewell : Seems to be repeating the already repeated side story about Susan and her father in law. Preferred the episode uncovering actual excrement .

Law enforcement failed those children horribly

Not at all pointless

That poor woman, how awful to be tangled up with such a strange, sick family. Keeping her tampons, ick.

Best podcast ever! I have listen to the whole series twice and will lost again!!

The only victims in this case were those two little boys. I have never in my life heard such narcissistic behavior from ALL the adults in this case. The police should be held accountable for the absolute mishandling of Josh Powell and his family. Disgraceful 🤬

I love the work that you do. I have listened to all of your podcasts. I wish you had more episodes.

I'm so sorry for Susan's family and friends. My sincere condolences to them. What a sad situation. What a sad loss

Great episode. Such a sad sad frustrating case

Thank you for making people aware of domestic violence. I could have been a victim just like Susan Powell. My husband became increasingly critical of me, accusing me of seeing other men when he was the guilty party. He transferred the anger of his actions onto me and threatened to burn down the house one night with our two kids and me in it. When I returned home from work I immediately called the police who assured me they would be watching the house throughout the night. I believe I had guardian angels protecting us that night. We ended up getting back together for a year and a half before I finally had the courage and help from family to move to another state.

Plus they didnt execute a search warrant right away

@CoolBeans : I think he original investigators DID BOTCH the case. 1, they kept telling him he had the right to be quite. YOU ONLY HAVE TO TELL A SUSPECT THAT ONCE. they kept telling him he could leave anytime. YOU ONLY HAVE TO TELL A SUSPECT THAT ONCE. yeah after listening to the interview/ interrogation it appeared they were helping him leave and not say anything.

I can't believe Elizabeth the social worker was so inept. The 911 dispatcher was not helpful either.
