I also tackled a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail. Mine was 5 1/2 months long though. I did my hike unassisted 10 years after being told o would probably only live about 8 years. I had had about 35 -30 cardiac arrests, and now had a pace maker and defibrillator . My trail name was Tinman because he needed a heart. I had seen a transplant specialist for years because my heart was so bad. Iβm still doing well 5 years after my hike, and recently went plant based to try and help keep me going!
Great episode. I'm 54 this fall. I'm getting so sore and stuff that it's hard to work... and I've been physical my entire life... the past few years have slowed me dramatically. I'm going to change all of that after I return home next week. I can use encouragement and guidance so I'll keep listening every week....and I'll leave my email.... cadeshler@gmail.com
Started listening to the podcast about a month ago - starting with season one. Finished season one in about a week! Now on season three and just want to say how good it is. Amazing guests and an absolute truckload of cutting edge information on plant based eating. Love it ππ±
WOW..... He talks like darwinism is factual..... It's unsettled and how can we take serious somebody that talks about that as fake This is the reason I quit listening last year.... To bad. Pushing for health is admirable...these un founded presentations are not.
Rip, I love listening to your podcast! I went Plant Strong a year ago and feel better than ever! I recommend your podcast to people who would be interested and will continue to do so. Keep the goodness coming!
Good morning! My name is Tim Lewis and I just started listening to the 2nd season of your podcast. I have been an EMT for the past decade and am in the process of achieving my dream career as a professional firefighter in Connecticut. I have gone plant based often on the past couple years andWith my new future career and my family's future at stake I've decided to go plant strong! Thank you for everything you do and for spreading the word. I shall do the same.
Rip, I have to thank you for having Dr. Klaper on your podcast. As I listened, I became convinced that I had to immediately cut out all meat, fish, eggs and dairy from my diet. I had been thinking of doing this because of the health, ethical and environmental reasons, but this podcast sealed the deal. Haven't looked back and feel much better. Thank You!!!
Please ask Dr. Greger if heβs doing weight training. Would love to see.
