This is a fantastic Beatles podcast with great interviews and excellent interviewing, allowing guests to be expansive a following diversions that often end up being fascinating even if not on the notional topic. It's also interesting to compare the US experience of The Beatles to the Australian experience. As someone born the same year as the host and also being a drummer, I also enjoy Cha Chi's experience of the Beatles at different ages. I will take issue with what seems to be received wisdom on podcasts so far - that Ringo wasn't a technically good drummer. This could be a topic of several podcasts but I would start from the position that if you believe The Beatles traversed more styles than any band before or since within and across their albums then it takes a technical chops to effortlessly move between these styles and maintain the distinct Beatles feel. Anyway, great stuff and looking forward to the second instalment of Lewisohn. PS the professorial contribution is always interesting and I love hearing stories from their Beatles courses at College.
