I have to respectfully disagree in relation to nuclear. There is definitely a place for it, for making isotopes etc. There is no such thing as civil nuclear. All nuclear reactors have a defence/proliferation issues. The Fukushima accident showed the vulnerability of any design. Australia should invest in manufacturing technology, if we were to build a nuclear reactor guaranteed an overseas company would be awarded the contract.
