As we always do, we tend to make it about us rather than Him. It’s about Christ’s victory in me, through hardship, not my victory using Him.

There’s a difference of being dead ”in” sin and being dead ”to” sin.

Here I thought I was going to hear about God, I had to turn it off sitting through the aggrandization.

I‘ve been reading many books like Vieth‘s lately. It is incredible how they have been accurate, but if Machen lived now days would drop his jaw. It‘s shocking for me, as in‘93 I was turning 18, and even I could see these things. Unfortunately, I was not introduced to these others like Well until later.

Enjoyed the episode! I recommend reading What Every Christian Needs To Know About Social Justice by Jeff Johnson.

I agree with everything you said, but are you saying baptism is a requirement for salvation? I think that's the rub between reformed theology and catholic theology... right?
