Did he actually just try to blame the victim who was unarmed and on foot? Did he really try to paint a picture as if that was the aggressor? The victim-blaming of this former Republican party leader is astounding. Part of the reason I am now independent. So many who I used to count myself among are not capable of seeing things objectively. Blinded by confirmation biases and beliefs that were decided upon decades and decades ago that can never be swayed regardless of reality.

As a white male born in a place similar to this I can assure you that you wind up being racist to some degree. Half of my family never use the n word.
